A letter to NYS Commissioner of Education Dr. John King from NYSUT Vice President Maria Neira on behalf of the entire NYSUT Membership – In this communication Ms. Neira informs Dr. King that a full resolution was passed by the NYSUT Rep Assembly in which a demand is made to put an end to the current testing system that harms our students and hinders real learning, and affirms NYSUT’s support for multiple measures of student achievement through assessments that are accurate, fair and appropriate.
