Stay Informed
The Bedford Teachers’ Association works on behalf of students and education both in our local community as well as in New York State to improve public education and to protect the rights of members to practice their profession. Politics impacts every school district and the working conditions of every school employee, because laws and regulations affecting every member's terms and conditions of employment are passed by lawmakers and implemented by government agencies in Albany and Washington, D.C. We did not become educators to get involved in politics, but today’s climate in our community, state and country mandate it. One of the ways that you can help is simply by staying informed. Our BTA Political Action Report is written monthly by Mimi Warren. Here are this year’s reports:
BTA Political Action Report: October 2011
BTA Political Action Report: November 2011
BTA Political Action Report: December 2011
BTA Political Action Report: January 2012
BTA Political Action Report: February 2012
